Verjaardagen maart en april - Birthdaycards for March and April

In maart en april zijn er een heleboel jarigen die van mij een kaartje krijgen.

In March and April, there were a lot of people celebrating their birthdays who received a card from me. Among them our son and daughter.

Book of wisdom

Reeds in maart 2021 kwam het nieuwe big project van Scraptacular design uit. Een boek met kastjes en een lampje en allerlei kleine boekjes. Het had onmiddellijk mijn hart gestolen. Maar het duurde nog tot 2022 vooraleer ik er kon aan beginnen en pas enkele weken geleden heb ik het laatste onderdeel afgewerkt. Het was een huzarenstukje maar ik ben blij met het resultaat.
Hier is een compilatie dag per dag van de verschillende stapjes.

'Dag' is wel met een korrel zout te nemen. Dat kon bij mij soms uitlopen naar een week of meer. Uiteindelijk heeft dit project een jaar geduurd. Maar ik heb er wel plezier aan beleefd.

Already in March 2021 the new big project of Scraptacular design was released. A book with cabinets and a lamp and all kinds of little books. It immediately stole my heart. But it took me until 2022 to start working on it and only a few weeks ago I finished the last part. It was a lot of work, but I am happy with the result.
Here is a day-by-day summary of the different steps. 

However, 'day' has to be taken with a grain of salt. For me, it could sometimes be a week or more. In the end, this project took a year. But I enjoyed it.

Deze verjaardagskaart is intussen op zijn bestemming aangekomen en ik kan ze hier dan ook tonen.

De tweede kaart maakte ik voor een collega die op pensioen ging.

De achtergrond is gemaakt met de gelli plate in combinatie met alcoholinkten.

Tweede serie kerstkaartjes

Met dezelfde achtergrond een tweede serie kaartjes gemaakt. Ik heb mijn inspiratie gehaald bij de verschillende kaartjes die er vorig jaar gemaakt werden met deze mooie sterstempel van 'Different colors'.

I made a second series of cards with the same background. I got my inspiration from the different cards that were made last year with this beautiful star stamp from 'Different colours'.

 

Kerstkaartjes - Christmascards

Ik had het niet verwacht en ik sta versteld van mezelf. De eerste serie kerstkaartjes is klaar. Het was de laatste weken zo druk dat ik er nog niet aan begonnen was. Ook door gebrek aan inspiratie. Maar nu zijn de ideetjes er en gaan er nog kaartjes volgen. 

I did not expect it and I am amazed at myself. The first series of Christmas cards is ready. I was so busy the last few weeks that I had not yet started. Also because of a lack of inspiration. But now the ideas are there and more cards will follow.

Beste vrienden, 

Het is intussen een tijdje geleden dat ik nog iets toonde. Dit zijn de verjaardagskaarten die ik afgelopen maanden nog maakte.

It's been a while that I showed my creations. These are the birthdaycards that I made during the past months.

Kaartje voor mama

Dit kaartje speciaal gemaakt voor mijn mama omdat ze de stempel en de achtergrond zo mooi vond.

Especially made for my mom just because she loved the background and the stamp.

Cirkelswap

Dit jaar organiseert de Creatief met stempels groep onder de leiding van Hannie een kaartenswap.
Iedereen kan deelnemen. Je stuurt telkens een kaart naar een deelnemer en ontvangt telkens ook een kaartje van een andere deelnemer. Deze maand was het thema 'cirkels'. Er moesten meerdere cirkels te zien zijn gemaakt met verschillende technieken.
De eerste kaart is mijn bijdrage.Ik gebruikte een gelli plate achtergrond (die had ik nog liggen) bestempelde ze met rondjes en cirkeltjes in alle soorten.
De tweede kaart ontving ik van Petra. Prachtige kaart hé.

This year the Creatief met stempels group under the leadership of Hannie organizes a card swap. Everyone can participate. You send a card to a participant and in return you receive a card from another participant. This month the theme was 'circles'. Several circles had to be seen with different techniques.
The first card is my contribution. I used a gelli plate background on which I stamped several kind of circles.
I received the second card from Petra. What do you think of this beautiful card? I just love it.

Hallo, fijn dat jullie weer komen kijken.
Ik heb weer heel wat om jullie te tonen.
Thema van week 20 van de APC was 'knopen'. Enkele jaren geleden maakte ik een kader met vier patchworkjes versierd met knopen. Hierop heb ik me geïnspireerd voor mijn speelkaart.
De weken hierna was het thema 'stempels', vierkantjes' en 'glitter'.

Hello, nice that you are here again. The theme of the APC challenge was 'buttons'. I got my inspiration from a patchwork I made some years ago in which I used buttons.
For the next APC the theme was 'stamps', 'squares' and 'glitter'.

Pensioen

Goedenavond,
Het zalig Belgisch weertje van de laatste weken was ideaal om aan het stempelen te gaan. Buiten kon je niets gaan doen. Gelukkig is het dit weekend prachtig lenteweer.
Twee kaartjes voor collega's die op pensioen gaan. Eentje voor Viviane die half maart haar laatste werkdag had en eentje voor Maria die nog tot eind april bij ons is. Het kaartje voor Maria is iets persoonlijker. Maria doet reeds vele jaren aan yoga en dat heb ik een beetje verwerkt in het kaartje.

This weekend we enjoy real spring days. After a day of hard work in the garden, there's nothing more to do than sit back and let our poor muscles rest.
I made two cards for colleagues who will retire. Viviane worked her last day three weeks ago but Maria will be with us until the end of the month. Maria is very good in yoga and I tried to make a card for her reflecting this.

ATC swap Tandwielen - Gears

Deze maand was de uitdaging voor de ATC swap van ATC België 'Tandwielen'; iets moeilijker maar daarom niet minder leuk. Dit is mijn bijdrage en het bedankkaartje voor Carmen.

This month the theme from the swap from ATC Belgium was 'Gears'. A bit difficult but it was fun making it. The card is to thank Carmen for her monthly hosting of this swap.

Op pensioen - retired

Deze maand gaat Iwona op pensioen. Iwona heeft op wetenschappelijk gebied heel wat ontdekkingen gedaan en zelf was ze ook heel creatief. Daarom dit speciale kaartje voor haar. Nu ze op pensioen gaat, heeft ze tijd om nieuwe ontdekkingen te doen.
Dat is toch wat de tekst zegt. Wil ze weten wat er staat, dan kan ze het bijbehorende woordenboekje raadplegen. Ze heeft nu toch tijd om alles te ontcijferen.

This month one of our professors is going to be retired. In her field, she has made some important discoveries. Now that she is retiring, it's time to explore and discover new things. That is what the text on the card says. If she wants to decipher it, she can consult the corresponding dictionary. She has plenty of time now anyway.

 

Stempeldag - Day of stamping

Woensdag een ganse dag met een vriendin doorgebracht met koffie drinken, koekjes eten, bijkletsen maar ook technieken uitproberen van een online klas (welke?) die ze volgt, uit de Craft Stamper, van Ludiec, ...
Dit is het resultaat. Het ene al wat beter dan het andere maar wel een ganse dag plezier gehad.

Woensdag I spent a whole day with my friend. We talked, ate cookies, drank a lot of coffee but also we did some creative things. We tried some techniques from an online class that she follows (don't ask me which because I forgot), a technique from a Craft Stamper, one from Ludiec,...
We just had a lot of fun and this is the result.

Regenboogstempelen - kleurrijke kaarten van een online class die mijn vriendin volgt
Colorful cards from an online class.

Dezelfde techniek met een totaal ander resultaat. De hartjes werden met witte hero arts inkt op craft papier gestempeld. De sterren met alcoholinkt.
One technique but such different results. The hearts were stamped with white hereo arts ink on craft paper. The stars were stamped with alcohol ink.

Tenslotte nog wat achtergrondjes gemaakt met de gelli plate en er al eentje van gebruikt om een verjaardagskaart te maken.
At last we played with the gelli plate. I used one of the backgrounds to make a birthday card.
