Verjaardagskaarten - Birthdaycards

 Maart loopt ten einde. Dit zijn de verjaardagskaarten voor de jarigen van deze maand.

 March is coming to an end. These are the birthday cards for this month's birthdays.

Lente - spring

Sinds een paar dagen is het buiten flink warmer geworden, tot 20° graden zelfs gisteren. Met een explosie van kleur en bloemetjes in de tuin. Het is lente!

For a few days now, it has been considerably warmer outside, up to 20° degrees even yesterday. With an explosion of colour and flowers in the garden. It is spring!

Nog ATC's - more ATCs

De laatste weken nog ATC'tjes gemaakt voor het Art specially event. Deze hebben als thema 'rozen' en 'feest'.

De past weeks I made some more ATC for the Art specially event. The themes are 'roses' and 'party'.

 

Time to travel

Nog een kartonnage project van Scaptacular design: een reiskoffer. Al een paar jaar oud maar nu pas het laatste afgewerkt en nog een paar pagina's gemaakt in het 'travelbook'. Het was niet gemakkelijk maar ik ben best tevreden. Met 3 boekjes en een muziekdoosje is dit één van de grootste projecten die ik al gedaan heb.

Another cardboard project from Scaptacular design: a travelcase. A few years old already but I only managed to finish it now. I also made a few more pages in the “travel book”. It wasn't easy but I'm quite satisfied. With 3 booklets and a music box, this is one of the biggest projects I have already done.

In het bovendeksel is een vak voorzien voor het boekje waaraan de sleutel hangt van het hangslotje waarmee de koffer afgesloten is.

The top lid has a compartment for the booklet on which the key to the padlock used to lock the case hangs.

Als we het slotje openen, gaat het deksel open en zien we links twee compartimenten voor boekjes: een reisboek en een boekje voor veldwerknota's.

In het rechtse compartiment zit het muziekdoosje.

Memorybox

In oktober vorig jaar bracht Anne-Marie Van Zon van scraptacular design een nieuw big project uit. Dit maal eigenlijk een 'not so big' project 'the memorybox'. De box zelf was in november al klaar maar daarna werd het hoog tijd om de kerstkaarten te maken. Het pakketje, de kaartjes en de enveloppen heb ik nu afgewerkt. Hier een impressie. 

In October last year Anne-Marie Van Zon of scraptacular design released a new big project. This time actually a ‘not so big’ project ‘the memory box’. The box itself was ready in November but then it was high time to make the Christmas cards. I have now finished the package, the cards and the envelopes. Here is an impression.

ATC's - ATCs

Eind maart vindt het Art specially event weer plaats in Nijkerk. Het is de ideale plaats om ATC's te ruilen. In de aanloop naar het event geeft Ineke van 'Vrienden die ArtSpecially for you leuk vinden' wekelijks een uitdaging. Een gedeelte heb ik al gemaakt.

Dit zijn de thema's:

• Maskers - Carnaval (samen genomen bij gebrek aan stempels 😂)
• Rood-wit

The Art specially event takes place again in Nijkerk at the end of March. It is the ideal place to swap ATCs. In the run-up to the event, Ineke from ‘Friends who like ArtSpecially for you’ is giving a weekly challenge. Some of them I have already made.

Origami

Tijdens het rommelen op zolder kwam ik deze origami decoratiebol tegen. Een resultaat van een hobby tijdens mijn jeugdjaren. Hij is waarschijnlijk meer dan 30 jaar oud. Deze bol bestaat uit 44 segmenten. Dat is een heel gevouw maar ik ben nog steeds tevreden over het resultaat. 

While rummaging in the attic, I came across this origami decorative globe. A result of a hobby during my childhood years. It is probably more than 30 years old. This sphere consists of 44 segments. That's quite a fold but I'm still satisfied with the result. 

Verjaardagskaart - Birthday card

Januari afgesloten met een verjaardagskaartje voor onze kleinzoon Jules die al 6 kaarsjes mocht uitblazen. Zijn lievelingsdier is nog steeds de panda.

January ended with a birthday card for our grandson Jules who could already blow out 6 candles. His favourite animal is still the panda.

Haakwerkjes - crochet

Toen ik op zoek was naar een leuk haakpatroontje om aan een labeltje of een cadeautje te hangen, kwam ik ook dit hartje tegen.
En mijn dochter vroeg me om het octopusje te maken.

When I was looking for a cute crochet pattern to hang on a label or a gift, I also came across this heart. And my daughter asked me to make the little octopus.
